Introduction

Welcome to SustainAgility, a community dedicated to sustainability and agility. Our goal is to maintain transparency and foster a collaborative environment where passionate individuals can share ideas and experiences. Code of Conduct

As a community committed to the principles of sustainability and agility, SustainAgility upholds a standard code of conduct to foster a respectful, inclusive, and constructive environment. We expect all members to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Respect, Kindness, and Empathy: Treat fellow members with dignity and respect. Practice empathy and kindness in all interactions within the community. Recognize and value the diversity of experiences and perspectives each member brings.
  • Constructive Discussions: Engage in discussions that are productive and positive. Focus on contributing meaningfully to conversations and help build a collaborative atmosphere. Avoid behaviors that disrupt or derail constructive dialogue.
  • No Harassment or Discrimination: Strictly prohibit any form of harassment, bullying, or discrimination. This includes, but is not limited to, offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability, or any other personal characteristics.
  • Respect for Diverse Viewpoints: Embrace a range of opinions and perspectives. While disagreements may occur, they should be handled respectfully and without resorting to personal attacks or dismissive language.
  • Professional Conduct: Maintain a high standard of professionalism in all community interactions. This includes being mindful of how we communicate, avoiding inappropriate language, and upholding the ethos of sustainability and agility in our discussions.
  • Confidentiality and Privacy: Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other members. Do not disclose sensitive information shared within the community without explicit permission.
  • Contributing to a Positive Environment: Strive to contribute positively to the community’s atmosphere. Encourage others, share knowledge and experiences, and help create a supportive and welcoming space for all members.
  • Responsibility and Accountability: Take responsibility for your actions and be open to feedback. If you witness or experience conduct that goes against our code, report it to the community moderators for appropriate action.

By adhering to these guidelines, each member contributes to the nurturing and growth of a vibrant, respectful, and dynamic SustainAgility community. We believe that a strong code of conduct is essential in creating a space where all members can learn, share, and collaborate effectively.

Content Policy

  • Relevant Promotional Content: Promotional content is acceptable as long as it is directly related to sustainability or agility. We encourage sharing of resources and tools that benefit the community.
  • No Spam: Avoid repetitive or irrelevant posting. Each contribution should add value to the community discussions.
  • Appropriate Content: Ensure that all content is appropriate and respectful. Inappropriate or offensive material will not be tolerated.

Membership

Our community is open to everyone with a passion for sustainability and agility. We embrace diversity and do not discriminate on any basis. As most of our interactions occur on LinkedIn and Slack, we recommend members adhere to the standard protocols and guidelines set by these platforms.

Privacy Policy

  • Data Handling: As a non-profit community, we do not share, copy, or commercialize any personal data of our members. The data collected is solely for community purposes.
  • Platform-Specific Policies: Please be aware that LinkedIn and Slack have their own privacy policies, which may differ from ours.

Content Ownership

  • User-Generated Content: Members retain ownership of the content they post. It is assumed that all content shared is with proper permissions and adheres to relevant copyright laws.
  • Community Materials: Members are free to use community materials following a standard fair use policy. This includes respecting the intellectual property rights of the content creators.

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

SustainAgility provides a platform for sharing and discussion related to sustainability and agility. However, the views, opinions, and content shared by members do not necessarily reflect those of SustainAgility. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented and are not responsible for any errors or omissions.

Modifications to Terms

The terms and conditions are subject to change. We regularly review these terms to ensure they remain relevant and effective. Any significant changes will be voted on by community members or notified in advance. We encourage members to regularly review the terms to stay informed of any updates.

Conflict Resolution and Governing Law

  • Conflict Resolution: In the event of a dispute, we encourage members to resolve conflicts amicably and professionally. If resolution cannot be achieved, the matter may be escalated to the community moderators for mediation.
  • Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes related to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

Termination of Membership

  • Grounds for Termination: Membership may be terminated for violations of our code of conduct, including harassment, spamming, or other unprofessional behavior.
  • Data Retention Post-Termination: Upon termination, any data associated with the member’s account will be retained for a period of 3 months, after which it will be deleted. Note that LinkedIn and Slack may have different policies regarding data retention.
